The LithuanianBots Mini Sumo Control Board (VEXOR) is a compact, competition-ready control solution engineered specifically for Mini Sumo robots. It integrates high-power motor control, advanced sensor interfaces, power management, and seamless programming support into a single, robust PCB designed for real competition environments.

Developed based on hands-on Mini Sumo experience, VEXOR minimizes wiring, reduces setup time, and maximizes reliability—allowing teams to focus on strategy, tuning, and performance rather than hardware complexity.

At the heart of the board is the ATmega328P microcontroller, providing stable performance, low latency, and full compatibility with the Arduino ecosystem.

Motor control is handled by two DRV8874PWPR motor drivers, delivering aggressive pushing power required for competitive Mini Sumo robots. Each driver supports high peak currents up to 6.5 A (device-limited), enabling fast acceleration and strong traction under load.

The board also features integrated current sensing for each motor, allowing advanced diagnostics, load monitoring, and smarter control strategies.

For line detection, the board integrates an LM324N analog signal conditioning stage, optimized for two line sensors, ensuring stable and noise-resistant readings in high-interference competition environments.

Line sensor sensitivity can be adjusted instantly using the onboard potentiometer, eliminating the need for software recalibration during setup.

For opponent detection and advanced strategies, the board supports:

  • Up to 5 distance sensors
  • High-speed sensor reading suitable for real-time decision making

Visual Feedback & Debugging

VEXOR includes an integrated RGB LED, designed for:
