Looking for a compact and easy-to-solder solution for line detection in your mini sumo robot? This custom breakout board featuring the QRE1113GR reflective analog sensor is designed specifically for builders who value simplicity and reliability.
🔧 Why this board?
Soldering wires directly to the QRE1113GR sensor can be frustrating due to its tiny and fragile pins. This breakout board solves that problem by providing clearly labeled and easily accessible pads for VCC (+), GND, and Signal. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned competitor, this makes integration smooth and safe.
📏 Analog Output
This sensor provides an analog voltage depending on the reflectivity of the surface beneath it. Dark surfaces (like black lines) reflect less IR light, resulting in a lower signal voltage, while lighter surfaces (like white backgrounds) reflect more, giving a higher voltage. This makes it perfect for fine-tuned line tracking applications.
⚠️ Important Notes:
The QRE1113GR operates with a forward LED current of ~20mA and typical voltage around 1.2V.
If you're powering the sensor from a 5V system, it is strongly recommended to place an 82Ω or 100Ω resistor between the +5V line and the breakout board’s + pad. This limits current and protects the IR LED from damage.
This board is minimalistic and does not include onboard resistors, giving you full control over your setup.
